The process of obtaining a divorce is relatively straightforward. The main requirement is to be separated for more than 12 months, with no reasonable chance of reconciliation. It’s important to note that a divorce does not automatically resolve property, parenting, or financial support issues. These matters can be negotiated separately, either at the time of separation or after the divorce is finalised.
